I’m not the youngest one anymore – and that’s fine.
Because as they say in Namibia – age is just a number.
Photography has been my passion for many years, alongside my background in tourism. Eight years ago I left that path behind, only to be stopped again by illness in 2023. Doctors said I had “one foot on the other side”, but I came back stronger. With the help of my loved ones and my children, I rebuilt my life and left the sedentary lifestyle behind.
At first, I challenged myself with mountains – small steps, big achievements. Lysa Hora, Babia Góra… each peak was proof that I could push further. But mountains are only a metaphor. Today, my true horizon lies much farther – in Africa.
Life will always be a struggle. But I’ve learned one thing: realizing your dreams is the best way to fight for yourself. And my dream has an African heartbeat.
Namibia has become the love of my life. Its raw beauty, endless skies, and wildlife touch my soul in a way no other place ever has. But above all, it is the people – proud, kind, deeply connected to their roots – who inspire me the most. Meeting the Himba, Herero, Wambo, Damara and others has changed the way I see the world and myself.
Now, my dreams and challenges are tied to this land. I want to capture not just faces, but stories. Not just landscapes, but the spirit of Namibia. For me, photography is no longer only about art – it’s about respect, connection, and giving something back.

Being over 50 doesn’t mean you can’t live life on your terms. Believe me, this is a great time to face your crazy dreams!

I must also mention that Kuba Patecki had a great influence on my rebirth after 50 (even though we don’t know each other).
Well, how so?
I can’t do it??? Of course I can! Of course I will!
Patec, thank you for a great boost of energy and sharing your concept of life!
Thank you very much – even though you have no idea I exist.
I have great respect for you.

And finally: where does the nickname Papa come from?

I am a father and I have fantastic children, basically teenagers – almost three 😁
Papa is an international word, but the main reason is that some of my daughter’s friends from all over Europe started calling me that.
I liked it and it suits me.
And that is almost the whole genesis of Papa.
Almost, because Papa is also:

PHOTOGRAPHY, ADVENTURE, PASSION and ADRENALINE.

All in1 😉
